The Sleepwell lineage can be traced all the way back to the 1930s. During the Great Depression, Abe Krupsaw founded American Bedding in Washington, D.C. This was the original manufacturing plant that would supply AW Industries (the parent company of Sleepwell). In the 1990s, the company changed their focus to mattress manufacturing. Sleepwell is now located in Landover, Maryland, which is conveniently located near our nation’s capital. Sleepwell currently services Maryland, Delaware, Washington, D.C., New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Virginia, North Carolina, and Tennessee.
Two-Sided Mattress
We at Sleepwell firmly believe that our double-sided, or 2-sided mattresses are superior to all others on the market. This style of mattress used to be the industry standard; however, because of its higher production costs, it slowly became a less favorable option for national retailers. Since we pride ourselves on being American-made and our level of quality, we do not take shortcuts in terms of our manufacturing. We stay true to what was previously the industry standard. However, as scientific improvements are made, we can tailor our mattresses to make them even better! We currently offer a few layers of firmness in our mattresses, which include pillow top mattress, firm mattress, cushion firm mattress, and plush mattress. In terms of value, our style of mattresses offer the best value and the lowest return rates in the mattress industry. We supply a two-sided hybrid latex mattress and are the first company to do so! Also, we were able to create foam encased latex, which was designed for edge support.
